Important Information on Workshops & Tutorials
Pre-Proposal Submission Open: July 15-September 1, 2026 (AOE)
Workshops and tutorials will be held on Monday, May 24, or Friday, May 28, to promote interaction among practitioners and researchers interested in deeper engagement with topics relevant to the robotics society.
To ensure a well-curated, high-quality, and broadly appealing program, this year we are introducing a pre-proposal submission stage. Prospective workshop and tutorial organizers should submit a short pre-proposal form via OpenReview with basic information about the proposed topic, format, organizers, and timeliness of the topic.
Process overview:
- Workshop/tutorial pre-proposals should be submitted through OpenReview. No separate proposal document is required at this stage; all required information should be entered directly into the OpenReview submission form.
- Full proposals for workshops/tutorials will be submitted in PDF format through PaperPlaza. Submitted full proposals are limited to 5 pages. Templates will be available later.

- Oct 1, 2026: Invitation to submit a full proposal and feedback notification
- Nov 1, 2026 (PST): Full workshop/tutorial proposal submission deadline (via PaperPlaza)
- Jan 31, 2027: Workshop/tutorial acceptance notification
- May 24 or 28, 2027: Workshops and Tutorials
The committee will provide comments that may include suggestions related to scope, format, or coordination with a related proposal. Full proposals are expected to respond to the committee’s comments.

Organizer and Speaker Registration
All conference organizers and speakers attending in person must register to access workshops and tutorials.
ICRA 2025 offers a workshop/tutorial-only registration option, allowing organizers and speakers to register exclusively for the sessions they are participating in, instead of registering for the full conference. Please refer to the ICRA registration page for this purpose.
Student Registration
All onsite student attendees (for workshops/tutorials) must register either for the workshops or for the entire conference to gain access.
Student members are eligible for discounted registration fees, as detailed on the ICRA 2025 website.
Coffee and Lunch Breaks
- Morning break: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Afternoon break: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Workshop/tutorial organizers are recommended to schedule their breaks within these time slots.
Please note: ICRA 2025 does not provide lunch during workshop days. The designated lunch break is from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
Workshop and Tutorial Timing
- Full-day workshops: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Half-day tutorials:
- Morning session: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Afternoon session: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Remote Attendance
Presenters and attendees who are unable to attend in person may participate remotely.
Workshop organizers must create and provide the necessary streaming links for their sessions. Please note:
- Conference internet may be unreliable, though fewer connectivity issues are expected during workshop days due to lower usage.
- If you plan to stream your workshop, you are responsible for handling the setup.
Additional Information
- There is no minimum number of registrants required for a workshop to proceed. Workshops will NOT be canceled due to low registration.
- We will soon provide workshop organizers with details on:
- Standard room setups and AV equipment
- A request form for special requirements
- An estimated number of posters needed
