INCHEON AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

There are various options for transportation to and from Incheon International Airport (Incheon gukjegonghang): 

  • Airport Railroad Express(AREX): Take the AREX from Incheon Airport to Seoul station (Seoul-yeok) in just 43–51 minutes (express train) or 59–66 minutes (all-stop train) (access to metro lines 1, 4, GTX-A, and Gyeongui-Jungang Line).
  • Taxi/Ridesharing: Taxis are available at the airport, with an approximate travel time of 60–90 minutes to Coex, depending on traffic. Ride-sharing services such as Uber, Kakao T, and k.ride are also available.
  • Airport Bus: Airport bus services and normal bus services connect the airport directly with key locations in Seoul. From Seoul, the metro provides connection to Coex.

GIMPO AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

There are various options for transportation to and from Gimpo International Airport (Gimpo gukjegonghang):

  • Airport Railroad Express(AREX): Take the AREX from Gimpo Airport to Seoul Station (Seoul-yeok) in just 22 minutes (all-stop train) (access to metro lines 1, 4, GTX-A, and Gyeongui-Jungang Line).
  • Subway: The suburban railway line 7 takes around 59 minutes from the airport to City Hall station (Sicheongyeok) and the suburban railway line 9 takes around 51 minutes (express train) and 1 hour 19 minutes (normal train) to the congress center (“Bongeunsa” station).
  • Taxi/Ridesharing: Taxis are available at the airport, with an approximate travel time of 30–80 minutes to Coex, depending on traffic. Ride-sharing services such as Uber, Kakao T, and K.ride are also available.
  • Airport Bus: Airport bus services and normal bus services connect the airport directly with key locations in Seoul. From Seoul, the metro provides connection to Coex.

Seoul Station is one of the major transportation hubs in the Republic of Korea, connecting Seoul to nationwide through KTX high-speed trains, regional rail services, and airport connections. It serves as a convenient gateway for travelers visiting Seoul.

From Seoul Station to Coex:

Coex can be accessed from Seoul Station by taking Subway Line 1 and transferring to either Line 2 (Samseong Station) or Line 9 (Bongeunsa Station).

Seoul boasts an excellent public transportation system, making it easy to get around the city:

  • Subway: The Seoul Metropolitan Subway network consists of 24 lines (lines 1 to 9 and other special lines) and operates frequently. Coex is served by line 2 (“Samseong” station), line 9 (“Bongeunsa” station), and line 7 (“Cheongdam” station).
  • Buses: Seoul’s extensive bus networks provide convenient options for travel within the city.
  • Tickets: A single journey on South Korean public transport costs around KRW 1,650 and using a transportation card instead of cash is highly recommended as the standard practice. These cards can be conveniently purchased at the airport, subway stations, or convenience stores. Options include the rechargeable Tmoney Travel Card for nationwide subways and buses with payment functions at convenience stores and taxis, and the Climate Card for unlimited use of Seoul’s subway and buses for a selected period, from a 1-day pass (KRW 5,000) to a 7-day pass (KRW 20,000) to fit travel schedules.
  • Bike Rental: Seoul offers rental bikes for short-distance travel. Services like Ttareungyi operate across the city.

If you are traveling by car, several parking options are available near Coex:

  • Coex Parking Garage (B2FB4F and Rooftop): These garages are located directly within the exhibition center and offer ample parking spaces.
  • On-Street Parking: Limited on-street parking is available near Coex, and please note that Seoul on-street parking zones are time-restricted and controlled.
